Heerenveen, 9 November — We are proud to announce that on Wednesday, 3 November, the Accell plant in Heerenveen commenced production of the new Carqon Cruise.
The Carqon Cruise is Carqon’s second family cargo bike and features a distinctive, newly designed box with a unique protective collar. The Carqon Cruise meets the same high-quality specifications as the Carqon Classic.
Lightweight, comfortable and super safe
The Carqon Cruise has a lightweight EPP box for a comfortable, soft interior and a stylish, robust outer shell. The box features a safe, high collar making the Cruise easy to use and extra safe for parents and children.
The Carqon Cruise has been developed with great care, meeting the same reliable, high-quality specifications as the Carqon Classic. The Carqon Cruise is equipped with a Bosch Performance CX Cargo Line mid-drive motor, suspension fork, powerful hydraulic disc brakes, a solid aluminium frame with a low centre of gravity, a 27.5-inch rear wheel with Schwalbe Super Moto-X all-terrain tyres. You can choose between a hub or derailleur gear drive system.
Stylish with a unique rail system
The Carqon Cruise has a stylish, distinctive design and is available in four frame colours. In addition, Carqon offers a supplementary accessory line which includes seat cushions, rain covers and a Maxi-Cosi carrier. The Carqon Cruise comes standard with a unique rail system in the bottom of the box for mounting various accessories so you can fit up to three children. The Carqon Cruise has a list price starting from €4899 and is available with a single or double battery pack. This gives parents the option of choosing the Carqon bike that best suits their personal preferences and specific family needs.
The Carqon Cruise has been carefully assembled with the same, high-quality specifications as the Carqon Classic. These include a 27.5-inch Schwalbe Supermoto-x tyre, the suspended front fork, the solid aluminium frame with a low centre of gravity, the powerful hydraulic disc brakes, and the standard Bosch Performance CX Cargo Line mid-drive motor. The Carqon Cruise is available in four different frame colours, all can be purchased with the dual battery option.
This gives young, ambitious parents the opportunity to choose the Carqon model that best suits their personal preferences and specific family needs.
The Carqon Cruise has a recommended retail price of €4899 and is available in both derailleur and Enviolo Stepless Gear Hub with Gates belt drive versions. Finally, a matching line of accessories has been developed, which will also be available to dealers and consumers in late summer.
First deliveries and testing locations
Starting next week, the first bikes will be delivered to a selection of Carqon dealers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France and Denmark.
