Carqon presented its third cargo bike model to its dealer network at the Fietser in Ede (the Accell Group’s Experience Centre).

The Carqon Cruise has the same high-quality specifications as Carqon’s first model but now features a newly designed, lightweight box, including a unique, protective neck support. Carqon dealers can now place orders for the Cruise and the first deliveries are planned for late summer 2021.

The Carqon Cruise is Carqon’s third model and is a welcome addition to the current range. In 2020, Carqon launched the first model, the Carqon Classic, known for its protective box with a door..

New box, same specs

The box of the Carqon Cruise is a new innovation, combining the existing frame platform with a newly developed, lightweight box. The Carqon Cruise box has a soft, comfortable interior made of EPP and a durable, stylish outer shell. Because safety is one of Carqon’s core values, the standard box is equipped with a high, protective neck support. This means that children can easily get in and out through the front, but are still optimally protected during every ride.

The Carqon Cruise has been carefully assembled with the same, high-quality specifications as the Carqon Classic. These include a 27.5-inch Schwalbe Supermoto-x tyre, the suspended front fork, the solid aluminium frame with a low centre of gravity, the powerful hydraulic disc brakes, and the standard Bosch Performance CX Cargo Line mid-drive motor. The Carqon Cruise is available in four different frame colours, all can be purchased with the dual battery option.

This gives young, ambitious parents the opportunity to choose the Carqon model that best suits their personal preferences and specific family needs.

The Carqon Cruise has a recommended retail price of €4899 and is available in both derailleur and Enviolo Stepless Gear Hub with Gates belt drive versions. Finally, a matching line of accessories has been developed, which will also be available to dealers and consumers in late summer.

First deliveries

Carqon expects to deliver the first bikes to Carqon dealers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Denmark, and Switzerland at the end of the summer. Consumers can order the Carqon Cruise from the end of the summer via affiliated Carqon dealers and through Carqon.com.
